Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the KADO Japan website (kadojapan.com) or placing any order. By accessing our site or completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. About KADO Japan

KADO Japan is an independent international import retailer specialising in authentic Japanese merchandise, including collectibles, trading cards, figures, plushies, toys, and hobby items. We source products directly from Japanese retailers, distributors, and wholesalers and ship them to customers worldwide.

KADO Japan operates as a private commercial entity and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Nintendo Co., Ltd., The Pokemon Company, Disney Japan, Bandai Namco, AmiAmi, or any other brand, licensor, or publisher whose products appear on our store. All brand names, trademarks, and product names remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely for descriptive and identification purposes.

2. Eligibility

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Some products on our store are intended for collectors aged 15 and above, as indicated on the product page. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that any item purchased is appropriate for the intended recipient's age and compliant with local regulations regarding import of such goods.

3. Product Authenticity

All products sold by KADO Japan are genuine, authentic items sourced from licensed Japanese retailers and distributors. We do not sell counterfeit or unauthorised reproduction goods. Product photos on our site represent the actual item or official promotional images provided by the manufacturer. Minor variations in colour may occur due to monitor calibration differences.

Collectible items, trading card products, blind boxes, capsule toys, and lottery items are sold as described. The randomised, probability-based nature of certain products (trading card packs, blind boxes, ichiban kuji) is inherent to the product category and is not grounds for a return or refund.

4. Pricing and Currency

All prices on the KADO Japan store are displayed in United States Dollars (USD). Because our products are sourced in Japanese Yen (JPY), prices may be adjusted periodically to reflect significant changes in the JPY/USD exchange rate. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — we will never charge more than the amount displayed at the time of your order.

Prices do not include import duties, VAT, or other customs charges that may be levied by your country's customs authority. These charges are entirely the buyer's responsibility.

5. Pre-Orders

Some products on our store are available for pre-order prior to their Japanese release date. The following conditions apply to all pre-orders:

  • Payment is charged at the time of order, not at the time of shipment.
  • Pre-order release dates are estimates provided by the manufacturer and are subject to change. KADO Japan is not liable for manufacturer delays, production changes, or postponements.
  • In the rare event that a pre-ordered product is cancelled by the manufacturer, is discontinued, or becomes unavailable before shipment, KADO Japan will issue a full refund for that item or offer store credit at the customer's preference.
  • Pre-orders cannot be cancelled by the customer after placement. Please ensure you wish to commit to a purchase before pre-ordering.
  • Pre-order items will be shipped as soon as they arrive at our facility after the Japanese release date. If your order contains both pre-order and in-stock items, we may ship them separately or hold the entire order until the pre-order item is available — this is stated on the product page.

6. Order Acceptance and Cancellation

Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Your order is accepted when you receive a confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, stock discrepancies, or export restrictions. In the event we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund.

Once an order is confirmed, customers may not cancel or modify it. Please review your order carefully before completing checkout.

7. Shipping

All orders are shipped from Japan via Japan Post or a comparable international carrier. Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. KADO Japan is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing, carrier disruptions, weather events, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Risk of loss and title for items purchased from KADO Japan transfer to you upon delivery to the carrier. We recommend retaining all tracking information until your order is received and inspected.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, images, logos, and page layout — is the property of KADO Japan or used with permission, and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Product images and trademarks belonging to third-party brands remain the property of those respective rights holders. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this site without prior written permission from KADO Japan.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KADO Japan, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or any products purchased through it, including but not limited to: loss of profits, data loss, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

In all cases, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the item(s) in question.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KADO Japan and its representatives from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of our site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the KADO Japan website or services to:

  • Place orders using stolen, fraudulent, or unauthorised payment methods
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features of the site
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the site using automated tools
  • Resell products purchased from KADO Japan without express written permission
  • Engage in any activity that violates applicable Japanese law or the laws of your jurisdiction

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our site following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of KADO Japan shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
